Paid Positions:

JOB TITLE: Development Director

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent

POSITION HOURS: 40 hours/week

SALARY RANGE: $60,000 – $72,000 annually. 

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working closely and collaboratively with the Director of Operations, this is a hands-on position that will call for the quick and targeted design and execution of a multifaceted annual development program including strategies for current donors, businesses, major donor and grassroots fundraising efforts that align with organizational objectives and program activities. This will be done by assisting all parties in connecting their global outreach calling in mission with the needs and vision of FFICM. 

Motivated by love and empowered by Christ through whom all things are possible, the Development Director seeks opportunities to live out their faith and impact the lives of God’s people worldwide. Matthew 21:42 quotes Psalm 118 and talks about how Jesus is the cornerstone of our foundation. The focus of FFICM is to equip trainers who can help new believers begin their relationship with God with a firm, enduring foundation. 

The individual understands that working in a small non-profit requires ingenuity, flexibility and a great sense of humor.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1) Donor Relations 

  • Create an annual development plan in collaboration with the Director of Operations. 
  • Oversee the identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement and stewardship of donors at all levels.
    • Manage portfolio of major donor relationships which require 1:1 quarterly touch points.
    • Coordinate and manage efforts to reactivate lapsed donors.
    • Strive for 10% acquisition rate each year. 
    • Coordinate special appeals and campaigns in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with charitable foundations by conducting research and partnering with grant researchers on possible funding opportunities.

2) Outreach and Events 

  • Identify and execute a signature event. 
  • Plan, design, implement, analyze and report on all events, dinners, outreach campaigns and other fundraising activities, including the annual Spring and Fall fundraiser.
    • Recruit, oversee and train volunteers to support events and outreach initiatives. 
    • Negotiate and complete contractual agreements for events with vendors.

3) Marketing and Communications 

  • Prepare marketing materials to support outreach and fundraising strategies. 
  • Partner and collaborate with the Communications Coordinator on the following tasks:
    • Create and deliver monthly newsletters. 
    • Attend events, ministry fairs, and churches functions representing and speaking on the behalf of FFICM as directed. 
    • Assist with the organization’s social media presence. 
    • Manage the donor relations pages on the website. 
    • Lead creative marketing messaging and communication efforts. 
    • Oversee adherence to branding and image guidelines.

4) Cross-Cultural Relations 

  • Availability to travel to Nigeria and Ethiopia annually and to other regional events. 
  • Maintain important key relationships with FFICM overseas partners as applicable.

5) Administrative 

  • Implement and manage development strategic calendar.
  • Oversee prompt donor tracking and recognition.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Ability to demonstrate FFICM’s Christian foundation through personal and professional attitudes are essential.

  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and cultivate and build long-term relationships. 
  • Ability to create, articulate and implement annual strategic development plan
  • Professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time. 
  • Strong aptitude for building and developing relationships with individuals in ministry and business environments. 
  • Ability to be creative in messaging, marketing and program development that appeals to a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as required while still focused on keeping a healthy life/ministry balance. 
  • Experience with event planning, contracts, grant writing/reporting and program management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in nonprofit organization, preferably ministry driven; with demonstrated success in a fundraising role.
  • College Degree preferred 
  • Cross-cultural experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite/Google Drive experience, Design software, Sales force, NonProfit Easy or other CRM system. 
  • Some overnight travel is required for this position and is estimated to be 15% with occasional weekend work; international travel requires a valid passport.

  • Possess and maintain a valid drivers license and operational vehicle. 

BENEFITS:

We offer all full-time staff accrued paid sick leave. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays per year for full-time staff. JOB TITLE: International Trainer 

CLASSIFICATION: Personal funds raised*

POSITION SUMMARY: The position works to train national pastors, evangelists, and lay leaders in evangelism and follow up using the FFICM materials and strategy. They will also help develop materials/strategies for different religions, and/or sub-sections of society.

REPORTS TO: President

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel at least two times a year
  • Participation in weekly prayer call

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

*Personal support will be raised by the individual for this position. The support level will be established by the Director of Operations for FFICM and the individual to make sure all needs are included, and the person is able to live a “normal” life in the country they are living. JOB TITLE: Story Teller 

CLASSIFICATION: Volunteer

POSITION SUMMARY: This position works with the Director of Communications to look through reports, research and call sources to develop stories for use on the blog, social media, website, and e-mail communications. 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Communications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow up with our friends, volunteers and trainers to obtain additional details about stories.
  • Writing stories (to be reviewed by the Director of Communications). 
  • Editing reports from the field.
  • Conducting short surveys.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Writing skills.
  • Cross-cultural communication experience.

JOB TITLE: IT Support (technology adviser)

POSITION SUMMARY: This position works with the Director of Operations and Director of Communications to troubleshoot issues that may arise in regards to various digital materials used by FFICM, and other online ministry tools.

REPORTS TO:  Director of Operations 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, tablets and smartphones.
  • Help team determine most effective technical solutions to ministry issues. 
  • Troubleshoot communications issues with teams overseas related to online programs.
  • Other technical issues as they arise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Drive, social media platforms, and other online programs a plus.

  • Recruit volunteers and determine where their calling and skills match up with FFICM’s current needs. 
  • Supervising volunteers in projects and activities
