Prayer and Praise, FFICM Easter!

Hello Everyone,

He is Risen! Thank you for your faithful prayers in the power of the name of our risen Lord Jesus!

  • There were no new attacks on the villages, praise God! Some of the most vulnerable villages are organizing their own youth to do some protection and patrol, and apparently that was enough to deter another attack. We pray for God to send angels to guard them.
  • Next week, FFICM will train 120 leaders from all over Nigeria from Emmaus Bible Fellowship. Pray for FFICM staff including Peter and Rick, and the 120, that they will be strengthened for ministry.
  • We praise God for Peter’s 25th anniversary!
  • This week, Peter was just given the opportunity to train all of the young adult leaders in COCIN (a large Nigerian denomination) from all over Nigeria! Praise God for this opportunity and pray for the trainees!

  • The training in the US had to be cancelled because of too many fluctuating schedules! We lift this up before God in hope, praying he will open up the right time for us to meet again soon.
  • We praise God for our director of operation’s (David Moore) birthday, and pray for his protection as he returns to Indonesia this week to settle affairs and officially move to the US with his family.
  • We ask for continued prayers for baby Lucas, who has a genetic disorder where his skin falls apart, and apart from God’s healing power, will not survive to age 2.
  • We are still searching for a new office space, and will be meeting with the Palau organization–prayers that we find the right place to work for our US staff!
  • Grace Bible Fellowship in Philadelphia wants Rich to train them ahead of their evangelistic trip to Kenya. Pray for Rich as he would like to go to Kenya with them as well, but may need to reorganize an Ethiopia trip to accommodate this. Praise the Lord for their zeal!
  • We are having a graphic artist reformat our materials for maximum impact. Pray for her for wisdom!

We are needing to add new staff positions, and needing additional support for our existing staff; prayer for the finances to come through!

  • Eskinder is preparing for the July training of 200 university students! Pray for some pre-training he is doing with a few student leaders ahead of time.
  • Eskinder asks for continued prayers for his family, for his son’s schooling and for his finances.
  • Pray for Oromo FFICM materials translation project. Eyasu and Eskinder are working with a translator, but he is too slow and not making good progress. Eskinder thinks they need to find a new person. Pray for wisdom.
  • Today was Ethiopia’s inauguration celebration! Their new Prime Minister is Dr. Abiye Ahimed. He is from Muslim background, he is now a strong evangelical Christian. He is 42 years of old, well-educated, and experienced in government. Pray for peace and for wisdom for the PM!
