In July 2025, the FFICM Training and MBB (Muslim Background Believer) Departments witnessed God’s power at work in remarkable ways — from translating resources into Hausa to training leaders, encouraging believers under persecution, and expanding partnerships with churches in Northern Nigeria.
Training Department Highlights
1. Hausa Translation of Training Manual
Our training manual was translated into Hausa to better equip trainers from Northern Nigeria, meeting them in their heart language and helping them share Christ more effectively.
2. EYN LCC Mararaba Mubi Training (July 14–18)
Organized by volunteers G. and M., this training took place in an area deeply affected by Boko Haram insurgency. Despite serious challenges and set-backs, 105 people were trained and 15 gave their lives to Christ. We thank God for our volunteers’ persistence in their work!
During the training, the Director of Church Growth and Evangelism at EYN Headquarters requested FFICM to train evangelism coordinators from all 69 District Church Councils (DCCs). This led to an impromptu training, strengthening our partnership with EYN!
3. EYN Headquarters Training (July 23–25)
30 evangelism coordinators from across Nigeria attended. The EYN President encouraged us to “always feel at home” and continue the mission partnership. Plans are underway to begin zonal-level trainings (7 zones, each with over 7 districts represented).
4. Trainers’ Training – Jos (July 28–31)
19 leaders from multiple denominations attended an intensive 4-day course. They returned to their communities equipped as FFICM ambassadors — ready to organize trainings, evangelize, and disciple new believers.
Testimonies:
- R.J.T.K.: “As a Reverend Doctor, I learned a lot on how to help new believers.”
- P.G.J.: “I now understand a simpler method of evangelism. I’ve already been raising trainers.”
- R.E.Y.: “This training helped me plant a new church.”
- Y.Z.: “I’ve been leading a new church planted earlier this year; this training deepened my understanding.”
- A.H.: “Now that the manual is in Hausa, we can train without language barriers.”
- P.A.: “I’ll speak with my church leaders to bring FFICM training here.”
MBB Department Highlights
1. Encouraging MBBs in Gombe
We reached out to believers facing pressure to return to Islam. One brother, B.M., refused a 2 million naira bribe and an offer of marriage in exchange for renouncing his faith.
2. Radio Ministry
Over 10 calls of appreciation came in, with 1 person giving his life to Christ. We’ve recorded 11 radio topics with teachers A.A.S., M.A., B.U., and A.M.
3. Training & Defense of Faith
We trained believers in Mararaba Mubi and at EYN HQ on how to defend their faith when challenged.
4. Volunteers in Action
- M.M.H. visited converts, led Bible studies, and met with local leaders.
- A.H. trained volunteers in Kano and encouraged new believers.
- B.M. visited converts in Tango and Ganye.
- B.U. participated in trainings and connected FFICM with new churches.
Thank you for your prayers and support. The need for hiring more part-time workers continues to grow as God opens new opportunities for ministry in Northern Nigeria!
